Buttercup room -  tweenies

In this bright cosy room all activities are related to themes that last approximately 4 weeks. This enables the children to understand and explore all areas of the theme. For example, a theme of 'Spring' can incorporate Easter, baby animals, growing and the life cycle of a frog.

Play areas

Activities include circle time, cooking, television time, science, music and movement, musical instruments, creative and outside play. This helps to develop children's self confidence and physical skills as well as encouraging social skills e.g sharing, turn taking and co-operation.

The children are given lots of attention and cuddles during play with the staff and they develop into very happy, sociable alert children who benefit from their experiences in the nursery environment.

Children in this age group who require a sleep or rest have the opportunity to do so in the afternoon. Mattresses and sheets are provided for each child.
